Summer - General Internship Application

Application Process:

Complete and submit the online application form.
Selected candidates will be contacted for a first-round interview which will take place on Zoom or Teams.
Email acceptances will be sent on a rolling basis.

Internship Opportunity Types and Parameters:

DOROT's Summer College Internship Program will begin on Wed., May 27, 2026.

10 Week Program (end date: Thurs., Aug. 6, 2026)
- Interns work four days per week - 9am-5pm
- Hybrid; all positions will be based at DOROT’s main office in Manhattan, with the exception of one Westchester placement in White Plains, NY
- Summer stipend may be available - check back in January for more information
- Prospective department assignment will be shared prior to the second-round interview, if the candidate moves forward, and confirmed upon acceptance into the program
- Stipend - $2,800 (must meet eligibility requirements to receive stipend)

11 Week Program (end date: Fri., Aug. 14, 2026)
- Interns work Mon. - Thurs. - 9:30am-5:30pm; Fri. - 9am-4pm (later hours will be required for two evening programs during the summer; dates TBD)
- Summer stipend may be available - check back in January for more information
- In-person ONLY, based at DOROT's main office in Manhattan, with the ability to work remotely on Fridays
- Department assigment - Intergenerational Program Engagement
- Stipend - $4,200 (must meet eligibility requirement to receive stipend)

We anticipate that all interns will be present for each working day throughout the internship. Please note: DOROT will be closed on June 19 and July 3 for holiday observances. (Please indicate any scheduling conflicts you may have on your application.)

Please note: All interns must have access to a personal computer that they can use each day of their internship, including in-office days. The intern placed in the Westchester office must have access to a car to get to and from the office as well to go on home visits.
